Die Geschichte der Kings Of Leon ist eine der spannendsten in der jüngeren Musikgeschichte. Den beispiellosen Weg der Brüder Caleb, Jared, Nathan Followill & Cousin Matthew Followill von der unbekannten Südstaaten-Indie-Combo zu Grammy-preisgekrönten Multiplatin-Stadion-Rockstars dokumentiert erstmals die DVD "Talihina Sky". Der Film zeigt Nathan, Caleb, Jared und Matthew bei ihrer Rückkehr nach Talihina im US-Bundesstaat Oklahoma, wo sich die Followills zu ihrer jährlichen Familienzusammenkunft einfinden. Die DVD wirft einen Blick auf die Ursprünge der Band und ihre streng christliche Erziehung durch ihren Vater, den Wanderprediger Léon Followill. Private Filmaufnahmen, Kinderfotos und einige sehr aufschlussreiche Interviews mit diversen Verwandten zeigen, wie der familiäre Background die Kreativität der Band forcierte und prägte. Neben der eigentlich Doku enthält die DVD einige Deleted Scenes (20 Minuten) und privates Filmmaterial. Außerdem wurde "Talihina Sky" mit zwei separaten Kommentar-Spuren ausgestattet - eine mit Nathan, Caleb und Regisseur Stephen C. Mitchell und eine mit Jared, Matthew und Produzent Casey McGrath.
